A new network for nucleic acids innovation.
About the Network
The Innovation Across Nucleic Acids (IANA) network is a UK-wide BBSRC-funded network that brings together researchers, industry, healthcare, policymakers and innovators to accelerate advances in DNA and RNA technologies. By fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration, supporting innovation and commercialisation, and developing the next generation of talent, the network aims to strengthen the UK's leadership in nucleic acid research and its translation into real-world impact across healthcare, biotechnology and the bioeconomy.
Membership data as of 8 October 2026.

IANA and CPI are horizon-scanning the needs of the UK oligonucleotide therapeutics community, focusing on scale-up and GMP manufacturing. The survey explores current and emerging needs, barriers, capability and skills gaps, and opportunities for coordinated action. Findings will shape future priorities and be shared at the IANA Annual Conference.
